<center> The Hyuuga and the Inuzuka </center>

Hinata was quick this afternoon on her way to training. The sun was out and the air smell fresh and clean after the showers yesterday.

Hinata had tuck the scroll neatly within her jacket as she hurries herself to practise.

I have to talk to Kiba-kun! This is discovery is amazing!

As soon as Hinata gets there, she looks to relax her breathing. Once she looks up, she sees Kiba and Akamaru lounging on a fallen log.

"Kiba-kun."

"What is it, Hinata?" Kiba looks up. She had a look on her face of pure happiness or excitement. He could tell except she was out of breath and was smiling widely.

"I found something yesterday I thought would be interesting." Hinata walks up to him and sits down next to him on the log.

"What is this 'interesting' something you want to show?" Kiba blinks. Did Naruto finally notice her? Did he ask her out on a date? Is it treats? What?! I'm dying here!"

He secretly hope it wasn't the first two.

Hinata takes the small scroll out of her jacket, "I found this while studying up on my family's history." "Ok," Kiba looks at the scroll then back up at Hinata, "so what's interesting about it?"

Hinata gives him a smile. She unrolls the scroll, "Here." The scroll was place in his hands, "Read it."

Kiba blinks at Hinata. He shrugs and begins to read. It wasn't even done the first part when his eyes widen very largely. He looks up with his mouth hanging open, "You're kidding?"

"No I'm not." Hinata points at it, "See, she has the same last name of you. Did you have relatives by the name of Inuzuka Hina?"

Kiba sits back, staring into nothing. He could vaguely remember when he was younger about the mention named of Inuzuka Hina. Her mother was talking to him about family members and history.

Hina...

"So?"

"I can remember my mom saying her name once but that was when I was a little kid." Kiba looks over at Hinata, "Where did you find this exactly?"

"I found it when Hanabi drop it on her way to her room. She didn't notice or didn't care. I did. The journal is that of my ancestor or many times great uncle. He apparently wrote it because-

"I know why but..." Kiba was surprise to say the least, "Hyuuga Kioshi and Inuzuka Hina? Wow..."

"I know, scary huh?" Hinata notice how quiet Kiba was. Akamaru nudges Kiba lightly. Kiba snaps out of his trance and pets Akamaru.

"Have you read the rest of the scroll?" He asks her with his familiar smile. "I did read as much as I could. It's actually quite exciting on how those two met."

"Hmm," Kiba reads more.

Where should I begin? Ah, yes. Hyuuga Kioshi was the second son of Lord Hyuuga, one of the leaders of one of the most powerful clans in the country. It was then that Lord Hyuuga had many enemies, including those who would want to steal the secrets of Byakugan.

It wasn't until a few days before a great festival that there were plans on assaulting the members of the clan to discover our secret.

The men that were sent were to hit on a particular person.

My brother Kioshi.

My family would consider him the weakest. He isn't, in fact but sometimes he does appear that way. He had gotten a lot stronger since then but back to the story.

Several attempts and attacks had been made and my father, Lord Hyuuga was getting impatient. Especially since majority of the attacks were for Kioshi.

There was only one thing left to do...

Hire a bodyguard.

"Finally I can go on a real mission this time," New Chuunin ninja Hina Inuzuka was called forth to the Hokage office.

Hina was particular beauty indeed. She had layer whispy brown hair and wide animal-istic eyes. She wore a black sleeveless zip up hoodie with black arm bands that went to her elbow. She wore black shorts with a wrap around small skirt and belt with it.

Hina was call forth for a 'special' mission.

She was just itching to see what this 'special' mission was. She finds herself in the Hokage's office. Hina bows, "Hokage-sama."

The Hokage smiles at Hina, "Inuzuka-san. Thank you for coming on such short notice. "No problem, Hokage-sama. Is there something you need me for?"

"Yes, there's a special mission involve and it was you that I choose for this special mission. With your special abilites, as well as his own, you'll be able to make sure his safety."

Him, huh? Ooh, I'm beginning to like this already

"Of course, Hokage-sama. I shall make sure this 'him' is well protected." "Good," Hokage smirks behind the kindly smile, "I need you to be a bodyguard."

Liking this already

"I need you to escort Hyuuga Kioshi out of the village to a private retreat."

Wait...what?

Her mind oogle for a moment before realizing what the Hokage just did. He set her up. Hyuuga Kioshi was part of the Hyuuga clan. One of the most powerful and rich and propersous clans out there.

And she was pick to protect one of Lord Hyuuga's sons.

Not just any son, mind you.

A Hyuuga son.

A prince.

Oh great...I'm stuck babysitting a spoiled brat

"Yes, Hokage-sama." The Hokage could sense her stubborness and temper at hold. He also could see slightly twitching at the words he had just spoken.

"Inuzuka-san? Are you alright?"

"Please excuse my rudeness but ARE YOU INSANE?" The Inuzuka blows up. The Hokage somehow knew he should of just kept his mouth shut but no! He did not!

"I'm particular sane, so no."

"You want me to babysit?!" Hina was ready to rip apart something or someone.

"Not, not at all. I need you to keep an eye on him when he travels to his familie's private resort. Surely that won't be any trouble?"

"How low can I be to be the bodyguard of some rich, spoiled-

"Inuzuka-san, please for the sake of the village and me, do it with less pride and more honor?" The Hokage stopped her in mid sentence. The Inuzuka shuts her mouth and nods.

The girl is fierce. Fierce and loyal. Also stubborn, bash, sloppy, and not to mention a few other things.

The Hokage also saw something else in the Inuzuka.

She also has the protection around her to make sure she is kicked around

"That is all, Inuzuka-san. Please report here tomorrow to met Lord Hyuuga and his son." Hokage dismisses her.

Hina walks out, feeling her pride had been deflated.

Great, just great

She decides to go home and hide from the rest of the world for the rest of the day.
